Ugh. Just saw Titanic 3D. Honestly, I just don’t see how anyone could not like this movie. Yeah, some of the screenplay is cringe-worthy, but I think that it just adds to its charm. One of the things I appreciate mot about Titanic though, is James Cameron. Say what you want about his writing abilities, but it is undeniable that he can shoot a movie masterfully. And honestly, no one is doing quite what he’s doing. Time after time he innovates technology and with Titanic 3D he just proves how devoted he is about his work. Changing the starĀ installationsĀ just because they wereĀ inaccurateĀ in the original release just proves that he is just a nerd with a camera. And predictably, I had a steady stream of tears the last 20 minutes. Nothing, literally nothing, gets me as emotional and stressed as Titanic.Ā
And in case you need reminding- here’s me holding the BP Oscar for Titanic with it’s producer Jon Landau, because, you know.

SIGNED AND AUTOGRAPHED, BITCHES
Day 3 was fantastic in every way imaginable. The films I got to see were The Last Fall, Pavilion and Sleepwalk With Me. You may have heard of the last oneĀ becauseĀ of all of its Sundance buzz, and it really deserved it. Then, after waiting for 3 hours in line, I was IN. Fiona Apple, Sharon Van Etten, Dan Deacon, Alabama Shakes and Andrew Bird. FUCK ME SIDEWAYS IT WAS FANTASTIC. And tomorrow it’s only going to get better. I’m going to take a brief hiatus from films and spend my entire day and night at the MTV Woodies Festival and Awards Show. DAMN do I love SXSW, but I wish you were all here with me to enjoy it with me. But until then, enjoy this screenshot of me that I just found for the livestream (well, not so live anymore) from the showcase tonight.
